How We Make Your Dream Home a Reality
1. Consulting & Planning: Building a home can be overwhelming, especially with the myriad of regulations and codes. We simplify this journey by helping you understand Step Code Solutions and establishing your budget and project timeline. We help you keep your project on track and ensure important milestones in the process are reached so your experience is as seamless as possible.
2. Design: The exciting part of the process is when you start to see your vision come to life. The experienced in-house design team gets to work on the preliminary drawings for your review and work collaboratively with you to refine your plan. Once finalized, we’ll complete your blueprints for your local building authority's approval and issuance of permits.
3. Site Preparation: With your blueprints and timeline in hand, work can begin on preparing your lot with servicing, driveway access, and the foundation. Meanwhile, Winton will be constructing your wall panels, roof, and floor trusses, ordering your windows, doors, roofing, siding, and trim, in preparation for loading your delivery.
4. Delivery: Winton carefully loads your project onto a 53 ft. drop deck trailer in our shipping yard. You will need a sufficient crew and/or offloading equipment available on the day of delivery. We recommend 4 to 6 strong, able-bodied people and/or machinery such as a crane, hiab, forklift with 8 ft. fork extensions, or a zoom-boom.
5. Construction: Once everything is unloaded to your build site this is when you begin to see the real advantages of a factory-framed home. Every wall is perfectly constructed with premium quality lumber, your home stands faster than imaginable, savings are realized through lower labour costs, and waste is virtually eliminated. Your project coordinator is just a phone call away to help translate building authority requests and solve or troubleshoot any unexpected problems that you encounter with the build.
6. Move In: Everyone’s situation is unique; therefore, everyone’s project is unique. Some people pause once they’ve reached the weather-tight lock-up stage while others have subtrades lined up to finish the inside of the home right away. Whenever you decide the time is right to finish your home, the benefits of working with Winton’s design team will be obvious. Living in your new home you will appreciate the time spent designing every key feature, like the kitchen, bathrooms, window placement, and any other nook or feature that makes your home uniquely yours.
